Meet Dylan, Driving Growth and Excellence at Yeovil Audi
When Dylan joined Ocean Automotive in April 2012, Yeovil Audi was already a trusted Audi showroom. From the outset, he was eager to build on that foundation and drive further growth. By expanding stock, enhancing online visibility, and refreshing the showroom experience, Dylan brought fresh energy and focus to the team. Within a year, used car sales had more than doubled, new car targets were consistently exceeded, and the sales team continued to grow in both size and capability.
“It was about creating a professional, engaging environment that encouraged both staff and customers,” Dylan explains. “We focused on training, teamwork, and customer satisfaction, making sure everyone in the team could perform at their best.” Over the years, Dylan helped expand the team, added resources for photography and logistics, and introduced specialised roles for finance and business management, building a resilient and dynamic department.
In 2019 Dylan stepped into the role of Head of Business. This transition included a challenging interview process with the manufacturer, but Dylan was ready. “For me, it was about growing on the success we already had,” he says. Under his leadership, Yeovil Audi has continued to flourish, especially in premium segments like S and RS models, and has nurtured a culture where sales and aftersales work seamlessly together.
The challenges weren’t limited to growth. The COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 brought unprecedented disruption, but Dylan and a small core team maintained operations, ensuring customer service continued despite closures. “We kept cars clean, dealt with queries, and even collected vehicles from customers who were vulnerable,” he recalls. This proactive approach positioned Yeovil Audi for a strong rebound when restrictions eased.
For Dylan, the role of Head of Business is far from routine. His days are a mix of staff support, sales oversight, aftersales coordination, financial checks, and brand liaison. “There’s no such thing as a normal day,” he admits. “Every day is different. Every day, there’s a different challenge, a different customer, a different team member needing support.”
Under Dylan’s leadership, Yeovil Audi has achieved multiple accolades, including the prestigious Q-Power award and Used Car Centre of the Year. Yet for him, the greatest achievements are personal: seeing staff grow, progress, and thrive within the team. “Watching someone join as a trainee and then become a top-performing salesperson or manager, that’s incredibly rewarding.”
Outside of work, Dylan’s life is just as dynamic. He enjoys travel, photography, cooking, swimming, and spending time with friends, family, and his two dogs. Whether it’s exploring Martha’s Vineyard or testing Audi’s latest models, Dylan brings the same curiosity and energy to his personal life as he does to the showroom.
Dylan’s journey from sales manager to Head of Business at Yeovil Audi is a testament to determination, vision, and leadership. With a focus on people, performance, and customer experience, he continues to drive the dealership forward, one satisfied customer, one motivated team member, and one beautifully presented car at a time.
